Veterinarians have to deal with unique problems. We help solve these problems for small and large animals.

Veterinary Medicine Flavouring:
Many commercially available medicines are not flavoured for veterinary use. At Victoria Compounding Pharmacy we can make it much simpler for you to give your pet medicine by creating a customized product that even a finicky cat won’t mind taking.
We have many different flavours in our lab and the experience to make a medicine even a fruit bat likes. We have the usual beef, chicken or fish but what about some of our more exotic animal patients. We make flavoured medicine such as:

Green apple for a Marmoset
Raspberry for an Iguana or a Pigeon
Malt for a Goat
 Grape for Cockatoo
Cheese for a Rat
 Banana for a Ferret
 Apple or Orange for exotic birds
 Apple for a Fruit Bat
 Strawberry for a Spider Turtle

If your pet won’t take its medicine, give us a call and we’ll work with you and your veterinarian to come up with a flavour that works. If that fails we may be able to make a topical preparation that you can apply on your pet’s skin.

Small doses:
Commercial available medicines may be available in only one tablet strength. We can compound dosage forms that are just the right size for any animal.
Special Injections:
We have a sterile compounding laboratory where we can produce custom injections and chemotherapy medications used to treat cancer
Special Eye Drops:
Veterinarians often require medicinal eye drops. Specialized eye drops may not commercially available. We can compound eye drops in our sterile laboratory to contain exactly the concentrations of medicine required.

Bad tasting medicine:
We can prepare medicine into easy-to-give flavoured dosage forms that animals devour. We have 37 different flavours so far. We can find one even the most discerning cat will love!!

Methimazole topical gel
 Canine Dry Eye Syndrome
 Tacrolimus Vet Eye Drops
 Cyclosporin Eye Drops

Commercially Unavailable Medicines:
If a manufacturer no longer makes a medication we can often obtain the pure pharmaceutical powder and ensure your client continues on their prescribed medication regimen. For example, we can prepare cisapride in many different dosage forms.
